Biography:
Michael Conlan- Michael is an Irish boxer from Belfast, he started boxing when he was 7 years old (20 years) he was coached by his father John (Current Irish Olympic boxing coach) along with his brothers Jamie and Brendan. Michael competed for Ireland in the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games, picking up a bronze medal in 2012 and losing a infamous controversial decision in the Q.Finals to Russia’s Vladimir Nikitin which cause public outrage around the world. In 2015 Michael won European Gold and became the first Irish man to ever win Gold at the Men’s World Amateur Championships in Doha. He made in pro debut on St Patrick’s Day 2017 where he was main event at the famous Madison Sq Gardens, he was lead to the ring by Irish MMA star Conor McGregor and stopped his opponent Tim Ibarra in the 3rd round in front of a huge Irish crowd. Michael is 12-0 with 7 KO’s and has boxed around the world as a professional, including USA, Australia, England and his home country of Ireland. He is the current WBA and WBO intercontinental champion and aims to win his first world title in 2020.
